Inverclyde Now has today reported that 36 crew members have tested positive for COVID-19 and the cruise to Svalbard that was supposed to depart last Friday was cancelled.

Seatrade Cruise News reported yesterday that a passenger on the 17 July cruise also tested positive after returning home.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the MS ROALD ADNUNSEN – of 158 staff tested, 36 have now tested positive.
The voyage from Tromsø to Svalbard has been cancelled.

Let’s hope that the cruise from Portsmouth to Greenock, departing 2nd September arriving 12th September can go ahead – but that remains to be seen.

I think the ball might be up on the slates for that, Allan.

It looks like the three Azamara sisters berthed at KGV are going to be around a bit longer than anticipated as Azamara Cruises has now suspended all sailings up to and including 31st October 2020 with Azamara Quest having a further two voyages on 4th and 14th November also not sailing.

Hurtigruten have recently cancelled various cruises because of the ongoing Covid-17 pandemic, so as I anticipated in an earlier post, she will no longer be coming to Greenock on 12 September.
